Danbury Railway Museum

The Danbury Railway Museum is a historic and wonderful museum located in Connecticut, the eastern edge of the USA. Established in 1994, this museum is one of the historical sites in the USA. This Danbury museum is home to a growing collection of objects and railroad artifacts. You can see many amazing things by after reaching here. China and silverware, tools, timetables, uniforms, telegrams, and model trains can be seen in the museum which is quite exciting. You can also see that railroad lantern on display inside the museum. Exhibition of railway museum

The Railway Museum offers visitors an exciting journey through historic railroads. The museum’s exhibits mainly include the Man Steam built in 1907 and the Boston Locomotive Car which is more than 70 years old. By coming here you can also see the water tank pump house of the steam age. One of the highlights of the museum’s collection is the Tonawanda Valley view that you must see.

The train ride

Danbury Railway Museum is spread over 10 acres of land. It is a different pleasure to visit by rail. You can tour the entire rail yard to sit in the old coaches and historic caboose. This train runs from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays from April to November. The fee for this train ride is $10 per person.

  • There is a 38-foot-tall statue of Uncle Sam in the museum who oversees the entire parking lot.
  • The Railway Museum took ownership of an American electric locomotive on Beacon Island, New York, in 2013.
