Events of the park
There’s no better place than this park for culinary treats and extraordinary artwork in a spectacular family entertainment area. Many great events and festivals are always organized here throughout the year. It’s exciting to watch the free children’s performances every Tuesday from July to August, and the musical performances on Thursdays. Be sure to visit this Rhode Island Park in September for the arts festival as well as a Philharmonic Orchestra performance.
Facts:
- The Slater Memorial Park was named after American industrialist Samuel Slater, who built the first water-powered textile mill.
- Established in 1985, the park is located on the Tell Mile River and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.
Activities:-This wonderful park in Pawtucket welcomes guests with all kinds of entertainment. Here you get the opportunity to witness the Daggett House, WaterColor Society, and Dog Park. Bring children along and encourage them to participate in a children’s free performance. Enjoy hiking as you explore the park’s open grounds. Play tennis, volleyball, and many other games in the playground. Make sure to visit one of the 13 picnic spots here. Have tons of fun on the 3-mile bike trail.
What to expect:-Slater came to visit Memorial Park and relax at the Central Pond Rest House and Casino. Wander into the green Ludovici and a low terrace covered in tile and brick that overlooks a beautiful lake. There are many things to do and entertain in this park for the visiting guests. It is open from Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm and is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. Make sure to get here with the Season Pass.
