Visit the jewels of the south shore “Diamond Head” in Hawaii is a volcanic cone. The parent range of Diamond Head is the Hawaiian Islands with rock’s ages about 200000 years. The highest elevation point of Diamond Head is at 762 ft. (232m). It is also known as Leahi and Diamond Hill, this name was given by British Sailors. Diamond Head has cones, vents, and their associated eruption flows. Diamond Head also provides panoramic views of Waikiki and the south shore of Oahu. At Diamond Head, a television game show was set named “The Diamond Head Game”. Diamond Head has a 350-acre crater within it and the tuff cone measures 760 feet at its highest point. Diamond Head Crater

The saucer-shaped crater was formed about 300000 years ago explosively. There were most of the vegetation and birds introduced. There are many tourist-heavy crater hikes to enjoy. The crater is visible from trails and is larger than its rim. The U.S. government purchased it to strengthen the Country’s Coast Artillery Defense.

Diamond Head Trails

The Diamond Head trails allow the opportunity to hike to the edge of a volcano. The switchback trail scales the inside slope of the crater with the mountain on one side and railing on the other, as part of the army coastal artillery defense system. Diamond Head is now a popular hiking destination with easy hiking levels and breathtaking views from the summit.

Diamond Head Lighthouse is a concrete tower of 57 feet in Honolulu. Enjoy the most beautiful view of the Diamond Head Lighthouse from both Diamond Head road and the beach.
