President Ulysses S. Grant
You will be attracted by the park as it is strongly connected with American History. The name of the park is after one of the most famous President Ulysses S. Grant, he lived here in the mid-19th century. He is one of the most important personalities in US history not only for the ground-breaking presidency rule but for playing an important role in winning the Civil war. You will be glad to look around his legacy throughout the park. From his towering statue and many other civil war era cannons spread throughout the park.

You are free to use the excellent facility at the park. If you are looking for a perfect pavilion and a gazebo for picnics, a children’s playground, and the basketball court opt for this park. Having fun and clicking pictures with your loved ones near the beautiful ornate fountain will add more memories and photographs to the album.

Activities – The Park features many things like a pavilion with a table, a gazebo to sit under shade, fountains, clean bathrooms, and a walk bridge across the river to the downtown historic shopping district. When you are ready to leave the park, follow the pretty footbridge.
What to expect: Galena Grant Park is open from 8 am to 10 pm from Monday to Sunday. Time will fly by at such a beautiful place, as spending 3-4 hours will be pretty easy. Remember to bring along a camera. You can also make a reservation for the gazebo, pergola, or fountain for your event.
