Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Centre offers everything you seek. You can walk 2 miles to and fro and you won’t be tired. Your mind will be engaged in the panoramic view around. Is the hike worth it? Yes, walk through the gushing Nugget falls, you might need a little more energy to reach the falls, as the trail is gravel. If you make it, you will love it.

 Trail of time & 3 Steep Creek Trail

Now is the time to move out of your comfort zone, explore, and travel as much as you can. The more you see, the more you learn. This path will take you back in time, let you explore diverse vegetation and landscapes. Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Centre is also perfect for your family. This trail is best for you if you want to witness wildlife in its purest form. Bears are often seen, the .25 miles path is quick to cover and the one you don’t want to miss.

 

Facts

Except for bears be prepared to meet more wildlife here, black bears, porcupines, beavers, bald eagles, and seasonally returning arctic terns, waterfowl, and sockeye and Coho salmon are pretty common to witness in Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Centre.

Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Centre offers visitors amazing views of the glacier and lake. Plan your visit

Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Centre is open from 10 am to 6 pm every day. It is accessible to everyone but visitors 16 years and older will be required to pay a $5 charge as an entrance fee. There are several places to which you need to purchase a pass to explore.
