Lighthouse played a major role in Civil War and was also used by the US Coast Guard in the twentieth century. Lighthouse Inlet heritage preserve has stored marshland and maritime forest habitats. Specifically, there is no entry ticket for Lighthouse Inlet Heritage Preserve but there is a donation box outside and one can donate according to their choice. For entry one dollar per person is required. The place remains open throughout the year whereas the reservation must be done in advance to tackle everything with ease.
