Maximilian E. and Marion 0. Hoffman Foundation Science Theater

As its long name, this is a stadium-seating-style theater that consists of more than 200 seats to provide sensory effects. The digital theater has an 18000 watt Dolby sound system which is the best quality sound system in the country, featuring a wide screen with Dolby 3D technology and glasses.

The Butterfly Encounter

A must-see place full of beautiful tropical butterfly habitats that provide a mesmerizing life experience. There are all-season butterflies to enjoy magical free-flying of butterfly species. The science center offers opportunities to observe the last stage of metamorphosis. In butterfly houses, there are many plants installed to provide nutrients for butterflies and also boost the ecosystem and economy.

The science center is a certified organization, providing educational, gift stores, ongoing events, and fun opportunities to explore. The Connecticut Science Center charges entry fees of $24.95 for adults ages 18-64, $16.95 for young ages from 3-17, $22.95 for seniors ages 65, and free for children ages 2 or less.
