Monterey Bay Habitat
As the name suggests, Monterey Bay Habitat Exhibit display exhibits of the habitats in Monterey Bay. There are several ocean species, marine mammals, seahorses, cephalopods, and plants to see. Monterey Bay Aquarium also provides free library services, museums and educational tours to the students to share information about marine life. For fun and entertainment activities include swimming, surfing, boating, and bird watching.
Kelp Forest Exhibit
Just outside the aquarium’s back door you will find Kelp Forest. It is a 28-foot-high submarine forest housed in a two-story-tall tank. The forest is full of local plants and animals living in an artificial setting. The availability of direct sunlight, the use of seawater from Monterey Bay, and a surge machine to replicate pulsing water currents gives Kelp forest a realistic appearance. Inside view offers you to witness rockfishes, giant bluefin tuna, huge schools of anchovies, leopard sharks, sea turtles, hammerhead sharks, and much more.
Open Sea Wing Exhibit
Open Sea Wing Exhibit is opened by Monterey Bay Aquarium that specially focus on Pelagic Habitats. The Open Sea Wing includes jelly fish, plankton, pelagic, green sea turtles, scalloped hammerhead sharks, sandbar sharks, yellowfin & Bluefin tunas, and ocean sunfishes. It’s a place where you can spend hours in observing the aquatic life from a 54 by 15 foot large window. One side there are seats available from where you can have rest and observe animals from the balcony.

Activities
At Monterey Bay Aquarium visitors can experience swimming, fishing, boating, and scuba diving. This is great place for ocean lovers to visit. Splash Zone is an area where educational tours are held; kids of all ages are allowed here. Other than this, at the splash Zone there is a water play area with a special zone for babies and toddlers. All are a great source of fun and activity for families.
What to Expect
There are many surprising tide pool adventures and adorable animal scenes at Monterey Bay Aquarium. You can drift your mind with jellyfishes, swimming and watching sharks. You also have chances to watch giant pacific octopus, hammerhead sharks, and sea otters. For knowledge seekers there are free libraries and museum to visit.
