- The broom factory of the Wyoming Territorial Prison: – The Wyoming Prison Territory’s broom factory is still open for visitors. This factory shows how in the 1900th century, the prisoners made brooms wearing prison uniforms. When criminals were sentenced to jail, they also had to work in the jail. Here the male prisoner had to do some work. Some of the work includes cutting trees, making bricks, quarrying stones, growing potatoes, etc. that led to creating an industry. Broom production was one of those industries that brought success to the prison. Around 720 brooms were produced here daily that were distributed in many places of the western regions.
- Federal government prison: – There is a federal government prison in the Wyoming Territorial Prison created in 1872. This prison is counted among the oldest buildings in Wyoming. From 1872 to 1890 the prison was a state prison, which was transferred to the University of Wyoming by 1989. In today’s time, this prison serves as a historical place that is the main attraction of tourist visit.
- Butch Cassidy criminal of Wyoming Territorial Prison: – Wyoming Prison State, operated as a historic, is a part of the State Park that is very interesting. This prison was built based on the criminal adventures of the criminal ‘Butch Cassidy’. He was kept in this prison from 1894 to 1896. You can learn and know a lot from the historical tour here. Mainly the site is based on the stories of the prisoners and the crimes committed by them. ‘The annual Butch Cassidy Festival’ is organized here every year in June.

Plan to visit: – Wyoming Territorial Prison is open year-round from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. By coming here you can get information about a museum, rehabilitation, and sentencing. Tourist entry is free here for ages 11 and under and $2.5 for ages 12 to 17 and $5 per person for adults.
